for High Power Applications
emv GmbH has extended its product range for high power AC and DC
applications with the DC Power Sources of Magna-Power Electronics. emv represents Magna-Power Electronics exclusively in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The AC-DC-Power product line of emv GmbH has been enhanced by inclusion of the DC power sources of the US-manufacturer Magna-Power Electronics. The new partner's DC power sources are particularly suitable for customers involved with renewable energy. The typical application is one that requires a high quality DC power supply, e.g. for simulation of photovoltaic generators, for solar inverter development, or for quality assurance of fuel cells and batteries.
 DC Power Sources from Magna-Power Electronics
Since 1999, our AC-DC-Power product line has included the proven California Instruments and Argantix products of the manufacturer Ametek Programmable Power. These dc and ac power sources provide power up to 270 kVA and voltages up to 400 Vrms at frequencies up to 5 kHz. They are used for avionics and industrial electronics development and for inverter development. They give ideal power supply simulation, with reproducible planned disturbances in the power supply, and can also be used for frequency conversion.
AC-DC-Power Product line
The DC Sources and Loads from AeroVironment can be used for test beds for cyclic testing of batteries, electric motors and hybrid motors, and components. They can feed unused power back into the mains.
Comprehensive services offer for Power Sources
The emv company quality-management-system is certified according to ISO 9001:2000 and provides comprehensive services for all AC-DC-Power p roducts, e.g. on-site installation and repair, as well as maintenance contracts with defined reaction times. „With our service and our system department, we offer our customers, throughout the complete lifecycle, the technical capabilities and the necessary reliability for implementation and operation of complex test systems.
